Tradition - Kantha Quilts are made by women in rural India out of up-cycled saris in groups. This allows the women to be with their children while working. Vintage Kantha quilts have an ancient tradition. It began in poorer regions in India and Bangladesh where women made quilts out of saris for their babies. Since then these wonderful quilts have become a much-loved addition to homes around the world.
